According to the ASPCA, every year 6.5 million companion animals enter shelters – of these animals, 3.3 million are dogs. Shelters are often overcrowded and underfunded, and it can be tough for the unfortunate pups in them to find their “furever” homes.
Recognizing the plight of shelter dogs and wanting to put his professional know-how to good use, former Dallas firefighter and t-shirt club entrepreneur Jim Scano took action by founding the Dog Rescue Shirt Club. The goal of the club is to “help dogs by dressing humans!”
The t-shirt club offers members a new, limited edition t-shirt featuring a different dog rescue every month. For just $20 (and free shipping) with no commitment, and with 100% of proceeds going back to the rescue to help with their mission to save lives and place dogs with loving families, club members can freshen up their t-shirt wardrobe while doing good at the same time. All the t-shirts are made in Texas and come in both male and female sizing.
“Millions of dogs enter rescues every year, and most of those rescues are overcrowded and underfunded,” said Scano. “I chose to help make a difference and created this fun way for others to join in, in the hopes that more dogs will find their forever homes. Our monthly featured rescue t-shirt spreads awareness for the rescue while the monetary donation directly helps the rescue with their day-to-day operations.”
