Social network helps pets in Joplin

KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Muncharoo.com, a website that uses the power of group buying and social networking, and Three Dog Bakery, the world’s original bakery for dogs, have teamed up to help pets that have been displaced by the deadly tornado in Joplin.  Funds raised by the effort will provide needed food, medicine and shelter for hurt or homeless pets in Joplin.

“Starting June 4, people can go to our website, www.muncharoo.com, and click on ‘Help the Joplin Pets’ to donate to this worthy effort,” said Eric Vianello, founder of Muncharoo. “All of our employees are animal lovers.  After seeing the incredible devastation in Joplin, we have been very concerned about pets that might have been injured or left behind.  By teaming up with Three Dog Bakery, we can provide much needed help to those dogs and cats through the Missouri Humane Society.”

For each $10 donation, Muncharoo will issue a voucher that can be redeemed for a Pupcake® at the Three Dog Bakery, located at the Country Club Plaza store, 612 W. 48th Street in Kansas City, Mo.

All proceeds will go to the Three Dog Foundation, a 501 C-3 non-profit organization.  They will in turn send it to the Missouri Humane Society to benefit the beloved pets of Joplin.
